Race Across AMerica (RAAM), billed as ‘the world’s toughest bicycle race since 1982’, is holding its first Consumer Festival, informally referred to as RAAMapalooza, at the start of the Team Race at Oceanside Pier, California, on the morning of Saturday, June 16th.
The organising team note that companies will be showing, demo’ing and selling product to the thousands of people who come to see the race start, and to the racers and crew members of this race that takes them from California to Maryland in a week.
RAAM points to the following companies already on board with its first Consumer Festival:

Beeline Bikes – Beeline Bikes is aiming to change the bike industry with a lofty objective: to get more people riding bikes by bringing a convenient bike shop experience to the customer. Athletes can sign up online, ‘see real time availability, schedule an appointment and the bike shop comes to you… with a full selection of parts and accessories too.’
Haro Bikes – Haro started off as a BMX brand, and has expanded into an MTB and e-bike company.
Null Winds – Null Winds Technology is ‘re-inventing the wheel for enhanced vehicle drag reduction’. Its first product is now being offered for a limited time directly to the consumer at RAAM Fest.
PainPod – PainPod brings natural pain relief, recovery and performance benefits to pro-sports, athletes, fitness enthusiasts and ‘anyone, at any age, wanting a pain free lifestyle’.
Del Soul Cruisers – ‘A bike party at the beach wouldn’t be complete without a line of Beach Cruisers, City Bikes and Commuter rigs…’
Clear Bicycles – Designed by San Diego native and legendary bike designer Skip Hess, the Clear ‘One’ is a lightweight, Urban Cycling Solution that offers ‘great components, clean design, and the best ride for your buck on the planet’.
