Rapha’s new season product offerings are coming soon, with new colourways and products across all ranges plus special edition collections for both men and women. The company adds that the new season products are ‘designed with utility in mind; and focusing on visibility across the range, this season features something for every cyclist.’
Commute – September
New for 2018, Rapha launches the Commuter Jacket, a waterproof, breathable and packable jacket, designed specifically for the ride to work. Cut to look sharp on and off the bike and full of technical features for maximum utility, this is positioned as ‘an essential item for anyone who rides a bike in the city’.
Rapha Classics – September
Starring in this season’s Classic collection is the Tweed Softshell, a ‘reintroduction of a Rapha Classic’. Using a rough and rugged fabric that is resistant to wind and water with insulating properties, this is ‘a smart jacket for bad weather’. Classic Winter Tights with Pad and new colours of the Classic Jersey will also feature.
Visibility – September
Rapha’s new Brevet Visibility Jacket and Brevet Visibility Gilet are made to make riders as visible as possible in low light and darkness. Using a variety of strategically placed reflective features to ‘ensure you are unmissable in traffic, and tailored for a comfortable on bike fit’.
Explore – October
Rapha’s collaborators for the Explore range are transcontinental race winners and current pros, who have ‘wear tested while breaking new frontiers’. The company adds that their expert feedback leads to top-tier new products such as the upcoming Rapha sleep system, consisting of a Sleeping Bag and Down Jacket, new lightweight and waterproof bike packs, and Cargo Winter Tights with pockets.
Milano Roma – October
Rapha notes that the history of road cycling is laden with stories of defunct races and forgotten heroes. The latest special edition collection celebrates a two-day race that was run only twice: the Milano-Roma. ‘It is rich with detail and luxury and includes a couple of dazzling off the bike pieces, too.’
Pro Team – October
New for this winter, Rapha has updated several pieces of the Pro Team range, with protective and wind blocking elements to help keep riders warm and dry, combined with breathable fabrics to aid temperature regulation. The Pro Team Winter Tights with Pad, have also received an overhaul, with an improved fit and fabric for winter rides and races.
