According to cycle apparel specialist Le Col, ‘cold mornings and wetter weather needn’t steal your will to ride’. That’s the philosophy behind the revamped and refined Le Col Autumn Winter 2018 Collection. Le Col adds that it has scrutinised its autumn-winter range to ‘make further improvements on already award winning and class leading kit’.
From material advances to all new items, this season’s offerings aim to put practicality back at the forefront. Le Col notes that its seasonal release is split over three collections:
- HC Range – The highest values of quality and comfort are poured into the HC range. Designed to be versatile for broad conditions, the overarching function is keeping you comfortable in the saddle over long periods. It’s a range that’s both premium, comfortable and quick.
- Pro Range – Made for the riders who count the seconds and want to make every one count. Speed against the clock, efficiency through the air, these garments are the lightest, pro-cut offerings that are made for race days as well as out-and-out performance.
- Sport Range – Classic, relaxed and stylish. For riders who aren’t searching for personal bests, but rather enjoying the ride wherever it takes them. With a more relaxed cut than other ranges, this collection keeps core practicality at the forefront – these are dependable jerseys that provide riders with what they need.
Yanto Barker, Le Col founder and ex-Team GB Cyclist said “This range represents a shift in my experience as a rider, the products in our Autumn Winter 2018 range are now superior to any that I wore in my career. In the past we have tried to make products as good as the professionals have, now they are even better.”
A few of the items include the redesigned, award winning HC Jacket (SRP £300.00). This year, the jacket has been updated with reflective detailing for greater visibility in low light conditions.
Following testing by pro teams including Team WIGGINS, Le Col has also introduced the Aqua Zero Gilet (£135.00). Based on the Aqua Zero Long Sleeve Jersey (£135.00), the gilet features similar material construction and ‘offers riders the chance to layer effectively whatever weather condition’.
Along with new products, Le Col is also introducing new colourways and patterns across some of its items. The Pinnacle Pattern, new Navy, Orange and Plum colours featured on the Pro Jacket and LS Jersey aim to offer a stylish and eye-catching approach to on the road visibility.
