Outlaw Triathlon – positioned as ‘the UK’s favourite long-distance triathlon series’ – is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2019; and organiser OSB Events is anticipating next year to be the biggest year to date.
Ahead of next year’s anniversary, OSB Events has released a new website and an updated logo. Heading into 2019, the team adds that ‘Outlaw wants to reward those entrants into Outlaw Triathlon and Outlaw Half Holkham by giving them exclusive access to the fastest selling event, Outlaw Half Nottingham.’
Thousands of prospective participants have already pre-registered for priority entry, and OSB Events adds that demand for places is set to be extremely high when entries open. The race dates for the 2019 events are as follows:
- Outlaw Half Nottingham: Sunday 19 May
- Outlaw Half Holkham: Sunday 7 July
- Outlaw Triathlon: Sunday 28 July
Priority entry begins at 09:00 BST on September 6th and will provide everyone who pre-registers with the opportunity to secure their place(s) ahead of entries going on general sale. One pre-registration covers entry into all three Outlaw events. With some events having previously sold out in seconds, OSB adds that pre-registration is highly recommended.
The entry options that will be available during Priority Entry are as follows:
- Individual entry – Outlaw Half Holkham (£175) & Outlaw Nottingham (£299)
- Double entry – Any combination of two Outlaw events, including Outlaw Half Nottingham (£175)
- Series entry – All three 2019 Outlaw events at a special price of £600 (representing a saving of £49)
During this exclusive priority entry period, it will not be possible to enter Outlaw Half Nottingham as a single event. If any places in Outlaw Half Nottingham remain when this exclusive period ends (date TBC), OSB Events will make those places available on a first-come-first-served basis.
‘To mark Outlaw’s 10 year anniversary, everyone who completes all three events will receive an exclusive gold series medal in recognition of their commitment and loyalty.’
Event Director, Iain Hamilton, said “It feels like only yesterday we were delivering the first ever Outlaw event back in 2010 and I can’t quite believe we’re now approaching our tenth anniversary. It’s been a privilege to oversee the growth of Outlaw over the last nine years and we can’t wait to deliver three spectacular events in our special anniversary year.
“We have received thousands of pre-registrations already and it looks as though 2019 is going to be our biggest year by quite some margin. We highly recommend that people pre-register ahead of entries opening at the end of next week given the anticipated levels of demand for entries into all Outlaw events.”
He added “We pride ourselves on being athlete focused and are pleased that people come back year-after-year, but we also want to attract new people. I hope the series medal and the changes that we are making thanks for the feedback from both competitors and volunteers will encourage both new and previous competitors to join us on the 10th anniversary.”
