2015 AJ Bell London Triathlon

The IMG-owned AJ Bell London Triathlon, taking place this year on 4-5 August, has penned two new partnership deals with Suunto and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. The announcement follows the recent addition of Hoka One One footwear to the event’s expanding stable of sponsors.

Marc Webster, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, EMEA Mass Participation & Operations, at IMG, commented “With the addition of these high-profile organisations, the 2018 AJ Bell London Triathlon has one of its strongest sponsorship rosters to date. Their presence at this year’s event will help ensure another world-class experience for everyone involved.”

In collaborating with IMG in the UK for the first time, Suunto will join the 2018 AJ Bell London Triathlon as the Official Timing Partner. Established in Finland more than 80 years ago, SUUNTO has been at the forefront of innovation, handcrafting premium sports watches, instruments and dive computers.

Sarina Pietrosanti, Brand and Marketing Manager at Suunto, said “This is a natural fit for Suunto, and we are excited to be working with the AJ Bell London Triathlon. Our GPS watches are used by triathletes all over the world who appreciate precision monitoring of performance in multi disciplines. From the first time ‘try-athlete’ to elite triathletes, we have a watch suitable for measuring, challenging and encouraging the wearer to perform at their peak.”

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity will join Macmillan Cancer Support as an Official Gold Charity Partner of the AJ Bell London Triathlon. Through its partnership with this year’s event, GOSH Charity will be inviting participants, family and friends to help surpass last year’s fundraising total which reached over £150,000.

Laura Savory, Head of Community Fundraising, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, said “We’re really excited to be the Official Gold Charity Partner this year! Following such a successful year for our fundraisers at the event last July, we are thrilled to be back at the AJ Bell London Triathlon. Everyone who takes part in raising funds for the charity will help make a real difference for seriously ill children being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital.”

The AJ Bell London Triathlon, which takes place at the ExCeL Centre from 4-5 August, is one of the world’s largest triathlons, offering participants a unique opportunity to swim, bike and run their way through the closed roads of central London. The event caters for all abilities, with a wide variety of distances including Super Sprint, Sprint, Olympic, Olympic Plus and Team Relay.
