Pro triathlete Leanda Cave’s Team LC, which champions women in triathlon, has announced a new partnership with velofix, the largest fleet of mobile bike shops in North America. As part of the new deal, velofix will become the Official Bike Support Service Partner to Team LC.
“I started using Velofix some years ago due to my travel/race schedule, where they bring all that I need from a bike store to me,” said Leanda Cave. “I’m always on the road, commuting between my Floridan base to races and training venues all over the country. In the past, this made it tough to consistently find a bike store/mechanic on hand when I need one.
“velofix have always gone above and beyond in servicing my bikes, and now I am so happy that our Team LC ambassadors now have their support. Like most female triathletes out there, our ambassadors juggle families, jobs and so much more. With Velofix, they too can now save time and bike more!”
Chris Guillemet, CEO and co-founder of velofix, said “We are proud to support Leanda and this incredible team of strong and passionate women. The triathlon community has always been very important to us and we feel very fortunate to provide an at-home or at-the-office mobile service that allows athletes to spend more time doing what they love – training and racing.”
As part of the partnership, velofix will provide each of the thirty Team LC ambassadors with a full overhaul and tune up to ensure their bikes are ready for training and racing.
Spearheaded by four time triathlon world champion, Leanda Cave, Team LC was created as a women’s ambassadorship program for both elite as well as amateur age groupers. The key to success of Team LC is rooted in its athletes. Triathletes from all walks of life make up the team and each contribute in their own special way. Some are looking to become the next world champion, some are looking for an age- group podium, and all are looking to make the sport better for future generations of female triathletes.
The Leanda Cave Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating new opportunities for women of all ages in sport through triathlon. The foundation focuses on strengthening the community by giving individual attention to the empowerment of women of all ages. With its all-women triathlon team program, the foundation creates a ‘comfortable environment for growth as athletes, as learners, and as individuals’.
