Continuing the expansion of the TOUGHMAN brand in Latin America, TOUGHMAN Chile returns this year, on the weekend of June 17th to the northern most city in Chile, Arica. This is the first of three TOUGHMAN series races in Chile, and the event weekend will have an Olympic triathlon as well as the featured half iron distance event, TOUGHMAN Chile.
TOUGHMAN Chile is the third of 10 qualifiers for the TOUGHMAN series for 2018 with qualifying slots to the TOUGHMAN Championship sponsored by Morgan Stanley that will take place on September 16th in NY. All qualifiers will be eligible for a cash purse while age group qualifiers will compete for over US$30,000 worth of awards
The TOUGHMAN organising team note that ‘2018 is a huge year for the TOUGHMAN brand’… ‘New sponsors to join the TOUGHMAN family are Triathlete Magazine, the number one publication and website in the sport, Premium Plus Sports, one of the most respected names in sports travel, Events.com, one of the fastest growing online registration companies, and Lifetime Fitness.’
These sponsors will join returning supporters of TOUGHMAN, such as POLAR Electronics, Clif Bar and Security Risk Associates in 2018.
Athletes in South America will also have the opportunity to race in Argentina, in Chile (at three separate locations in Arica, Futrono, Quillon), and Brazil – as well as Puerto Rico to get a spot to race in the 2018 TOUGHMAN Championship in NY.
The team at TOUGHMAN adds that ‘For independent race directors looking to expand please contact us for details concerning joining the TOUGHMAN brand.’
