Epic Rides has unveiled V8 +Energy as the official energy drink of its Off-Road Series mountain bike events through 2019. V8 +Energy beverages will be on site at all four stops of the award-winning mountain bike event series in Prescott, Arizona; Grand Junction, Colorado; Carson City, Nevada; and Bentonville, Arkansas.
There will be V8 +Energy Aid Stations along each course as well as a V8 +Energy Recovery Lounge located near the finish line for participants to relax. Riders who register for each Off-Road Series event will also receive a coupon in the mail that can be redeemed at their local Walmart for a free six-pack of V8 +Energy.
A Campbell Soup Company brand, V8 +Energy beverages ‘provide steady energy’ with caffeine from natural green tea, reportedly ‘without the highs or lows’ that often come with traditional energy drinks. With only 60 calories or less in each 8oz can, V8 +ENERGY has one combined serving of veggies and fruit, with no sugar added or artificial flavours, and is gluten free and non-GMO.
The energy drink is available in both sparkling and still varieties and comes in 14 flavours, including Pomegranate Blueberry and Peach Mango.
“V8 is excited to partner with Epic Rides and support this year’s series of high energy events,” said Andres Romero, Marketing Manager, Beverages at Campbell Soup Company. V8 +ENERGY beverages are perfect for people who need to be at their best during busy days. It will help keep participants going, and because the drink contains fruits and veggies, they can feel good about drinking it.”
The Epic Rides Off-Road Series welcomes mountain bikers of all experience levels with three different length courses that ‘challenge the mind and body as well as deliver awe-inspiring natural vistas’. Each event has its own ‘unique flavour and character, thanks to the vibrant host cities where residents value the importance of healthy living and outdoor recreation.’
All Off-Road Series registrants will receive an event t-shirt, limited-edition poster, goodie bag and finisher’s award. Epic Rides adds that the growing popularity of the Off-Road Series has resulted in all events filling to capacity in advance – so participants are encouraged to register as early as possible through 2019. The final 2018 Off-Road Series event, the inaugural Oz Trails Off-Road, will be held on October 5-7 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Founded in 1999, Epic Rides has built a reputation for producing events that celebrate the many positive aspects of mountain biking. Events such as the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo presented by Tucson Medical Center, Tour of the White Mountains, Grand Junction Off-Road, Whiskey Off-Road, Carson City Off-Road and the new-for-2018 Oz Trails Off-Road are popular with participants ‘because they offer challenging, fun riding and emphasize the joy and camaraderie inherent in the sport.’
