43 winners of Eurobike Award 2019

With just under 400 entries submitted for a Eurobike Award, in 2019, 43 prize-winning bike innovations will be recognised at the leading international bike trade show this September.

The presentation of the award winners every year takes place on the evening of the first day of the show in Foyer East, at Messe Friedrichshafen in southern Germany. Located directly inside the approach area to the show, the award winners help to give visitors a view of the likely trend-setters within the industry.

As a leading global trade fair, Eurobike is directed towards a specialist trade audience on three working days from 4-6 September and to all bike fans at the Eurobike Festival Day on Saturday, 7 September 2019.

“The Eurobike Award is a powerful barometer of innovation for the industry,” said Eurobike Show Director Dirk Heidrich. “It reveals how the producers involved with the bike keep stoking the fires of innovation, continue developing ideas and sometimes even break down barriers. Eurobike, however, also sees this contest for the most convincing new developments as a motivating force.

“It’s a way of showing companies what may really be possible today or tomorrow. And this is something that we are just a little bit proud of.”

The Eurobike Award panel comprised six experts. The spectrum of entries competing for the 15th award displayed its customary breadth – ranging from different types of cycle, apparel and bike components through to accessories.

Eventually, 43 were chosen on the basis of factors such as design, degree of innovation, quality of finishing but also price versus performance and value added. From this selection, nine developments were in turn honoured with the Gold Award – for products that particularly impressed the jury or are able to add something unique to the sector.

All award winners will be unveiled at Eurobike 2019 this September.
