Intelligent Technologies (AIT), has today announced its partnership with IRONMAN as the Official Massage Chair of the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 US Series. The new partnership brings AIT’s award-winning technology to triathletes in a ‘new first-of-its-kind IRONMAN-branded BioChair tailored to the needs of the demanding sport.’
The new IRONMAN BioChair is positioned as a state-of-the-art at home massage chair that allows triathletes to customize their massage, thanks to intelligent software technology that gets to know the body of the user and delivers a full-body massage experience.
A unique benefit of the new IRONMAN BioChair is the ability to select ‘Swim’,’Bike’, or ‘Run’ therapy options specifically tailored to the muscle groups commonly associated with each discipline, enabling triathletes to prime for or recover from their swim, bike and run workouts.
“Knowing first-hand how physically demanding the sport of triathlon can be, I knew there was an opportunity to bring our proprietary massage technology to triathletes in ways that are tailored to the unique needs of the sport,” said Victor Yang, CEO of Addaday Intelligent Technologies.
“Joining IRONMAN allows Addaday to connect directly with the highly motivated triathlon athletes, who are continually looking for the most cutting-edge recovery technology to help them get the most out of their sport.”
He continued, “When you think about what serious athletes pay for message therapy, with just 30 hours of use, the BioChair pays for itself. It’s the ultimate recovery tool that every IRONMAN should have.”
Since the launch of Addaday, the organization has been a player in the elite athlete space, with many teams and professional athletes at the highest levels of football, baseball, hockey and Olympic sports using AIT’s products for their recovery needs.
“Recovery for athletes is not optional, it’s a necessity,” said Dr Mike Venezia DC, Addaday Intelligent Technologies’ Expert BioMechanist and Resident Doctor of Chiropractic. “Treating both professional and amateur athletes every day, I have found that reducing lower extremity swelling and inflammation can be the difference between competing and being injured.
“The BioChair’s dynamic leg and foot compression addresses this better than any device on the market. This is not just a massage chair, it’s a recovery device.”
Stuart Selig, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships for IRONMAN North America, said “We are confident that our partnership with Addaday will allow our athletes to gain heightened exposure to a dynamic brand who supplies an incredible recovery tool. Their support represents a strong commitment to the endurance community.”
Beginning with the 2019 IRONMAN Louisville presented by Norton Sports Health, Addaday will be on site at the IRONMAN Village Expo with its new IRONMAN BioChair at select IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 US Series races.
