ALÉ in partnership with Giro d’Italia Under 23 event


One of the most gruelling and prestigious multiple-stage cycling races for the Under-23 category now welcomes to its select group of partners an Italian company that has deeply embedded roots in Italy. In just a few years, Italian brand ALÉ notes that it has managed to grow its market share and reputation among professionals, enthusiasts and amateurs.

The jerseys for the 2019 edition of the Giro d’Italia Under 23 event, scheduled to run from 13-23 June 2019 as it passes through as many as five Italian regions (Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Lombardy, Trentino and Veneto) will in fact be branded ALÉ.

The ALÉ-produced leaders’ jerseys of the Giro d’Italia Under 23 will be unveiled in a few weeks when the 2019 edition is officially presented.

Created in 2013 by APG srl, a manufacturer of cycling wear and accessories for over 30 years, ALÉ is an Italian brand whose production takes place exclusively in Italy, ‘from product research to the finished garment, comprising design and printing, utilizing latest generation machinery’.

Every year, the company notes that it produces more than one million products and accessories, outfitting professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts, with its custom-made lines and ready-to-wear collections.

ALÉ’s latest collaboration with the Giro d’Italia Under 23 directly involves the CEO of APG srl, Alessia Piccolo, who has guided the company’s steady growth for a number of years. Piccolo said “It is always an honour to place our technical experience at the disposal of such a prestigious race. We will dress the athletes who represent the future of cycling and nothing could make us prouder than this. I will be attending the Giro d’Italia Under 23 event to support the young riders at each stage of the race.”

“We believe we have found a fantastic partner for the Giro d’Italia Under 23 and are convinced this company will also flank us in further projects we have in the pipeline,” added Marco Selleri and Marco Pavarini, General Manager and Organization Manager, respectively, of the Giro d’Italia Under 23.

ALÉ will be attending the Giro d’Italia Under 23 event to present its product lines and designs to the public. Moreover, the brand will be engaged in a number of joint activities with the event organizers, to coincide with the conclusion of each stage and designed to target the Under 23 riders and a wider public of amateur cyclists.

ALÉ is also the selection of a number of professional teams. These include: Groupama FDJ, Team Axeon, Bardiani CSF, the French Cycling Federation and the Alé Cipollini Women’s Team.
