As part of its partnership agreement with Challenge Family, bike trainer and virtual training specialist Bkool is organising a special online competition called the Challenge Cup.
Running from May 30 to June 27, the Challenge Cup is an online competition based on the bike courses of four Challenge Family events. Athletes can ride all four courses; and those who come top of the overall classification will win a free entry to the final European race of the 2019 Challenge Family calendar – Challenge Peguera-Mallorca, which takes place on 19 October 2019.
“If you’re training for a Challenge Family event, Bkool is a great way to hone your competitive edge and train on the actual race courses,” explained Javier Cepedano, Bkool’s Director of Marketing.
Bkoo and Challenge Family’s virtual Challenge Cup events will take place on the following dates:
- Thursday May 30 – Garmin Challenge Herning
- Thursday June 6 – Skoda Challenge Geraardsbergen
- Thursday June 20 – Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee
- Thursday June 27 – DATEV Challenge Roth
Each event will have six possible sessions to join online, covering a range of timezone possibilities: 11:00 (GMT+2) – 17:00 (GMT+2) – 19:00 (GMT+2) – 21:00 (GMT+2) – 02:00 (GMT+2) – 05:00 (GMT+2).
The Challenge Cup will also be ridden by some of the pro athletes racing at Challenge Family events, with triathletes such as Laura Siddall and Frederic Funk joining in the virtual racing.
To participate, and be in for a chance to win a free entry to CHALLENGE MALLORCA plus Challenge Family merchandise during each event, need to download the Bkool Cycling Simulator and sign up online to the Bkool platform for the first event on Thursday June 6.
