Brand new store for Evans Cycles in Shirebrook, Derbyshire

52

Evans Cycles, ‘the UK’s leading specialist bike shop’, will be celebrating the launch of a brand new store in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, on Saturday 25th May. Following last month’s launch of Evans’ Glasgow Fort store, the latest opening in central England brings the company’s total number of stores within the UK up to 56.

The new store leverages synergies through Evans Cycles’ new owner Sports Direct, which also owns multisport retailer TRI UK. Within the endurance sport retail space, Sports Direct made a below-the-radar acquisition of TRI UK in October 2017. TRI UK then opened its Shirebrook superstore in Derbyshire in October 2018.

Making up over 4,000 square feet inside the popular TRI UK store in Shirebrook, the new Evans branch will house almost 100 bikes for customers to try out as well as the latest products from leading brands such as Trek, Brompton, Fox Clothing, GORE Wear and many more. The store also comes complete with a fully equipped Shimano Service Centre offering mechanical assistance as well as the popular bike maintenance ‘Fixit classes’.

To celebrate the opening of the new store, all customers who attend the launch will be in with a chance of winning a Pinnacle bike valued at £1,000. Also, celebrating the on-going Grand Tour, the Giro d’Italia, customers will have the opportunity to try out some of the most innovative tech in e-Racing by going up against the clock on a virtual segment of this year’s course.

Goody bags containing swag from some of the industry’s biggest brands will also be handed out to children at the new store opening, with the aim of helping to encourage the next generation of riders.

As Evans Cycles’ third branch within the Midlands area – with others in Nottingham and Leicester – the new opening ‘represents a strong commitment to help grow cycling within the region, and is situated near the stunning Peak District National Park.’

Located on Meadow Lane, within Brook Park, the Evans Cycles Shirebrook store has free parking available.
