In 2009 Castelli introduced the Gabba jersey. The company noted that, following its launch, the premium jersey ‘forever changed the way pros dress for racing and training in the rain and cold’. It added that the latest version of the Gabba means that ‘the best just got better’.
This season Castelli has given the Gabba RoS (rain or shine) jersey a major performance upgrade, claiming that it is ‘even better in the rain while maintaining its outstanding breathability, so you can laugh in the face of foul weather.’
Castelli’s approach to all-surface riding is called ‘Unlimited’. It notes that, for many, riding now is a mixture of paved and unpaved surfaces… ‘but we’re riding just as hard and demanding just as much from our clothing.’
With this in mind, Castelli’s latest bib shorts feature enhanced road rash protection without adding bulk or uncomfortable padding. This short was initially made specifically in response to a request from Team INEOS to help protect the riders through the first dangerous stages of a Grand Tour.
