Challenge Family ties-up with Long Course Weekend and Haute Route

Challenge Family is joining forces with two big names in the endurance sports event sector – Long Course Weekend and Haute Route. A release from the company noted that this is… ‘a big step forward for all three companies founded on an inclusive, innovative and family-orientated approach; and so many athletes worldwide will benefit from this quality focused collaboration.’

Further details on the collaboration are expected to be unveiled over the coming weeks. It is envisaged that it will involve collaborative marketing and athlete outreach by each of the three event organisers.

Long Course Weekend is celebrating 10 years in Wales this year and is looking to host 12,000 athletes in Tenby, Pembrokeshire. The Long Course Weekend brand is now moving internationally – with events in Holland, Mallorca and Australia. Targeting everyone from 5k athletes through to full distance triathletes, it has become the event of choice for families, clubs and professional athletes alike.

Haute Route is ‘the world’s first global series of multi-day cycling events for amateur riders’. The series seeks to provide all participants with a true ‘ride-like-a-pro’ experience both on and off the bike. Haute Route events take place over either 3 or 7 days in iconic cycling destinations across the globe.

Challenge Family bills itself as the fastest growing global triathlon series – with 34 full and middle distance events in 23 different countries.
