PowerBar has become the Official Nutrition Partner for Challenge Family. It will support races in Riccione (Italy), Herning (Denmark), Walchsee (Austria), Almer (Amsterdam) and Peguera (Mallorca) for the next two years. PowerBar is also set to provide athlete nutrition once again for The Championship in Samorin (Slovakia).
Building on a partnership between the two companies at The Championship in 2018, PowerBar is extending its collaboration with Challenge Family. The leading specialist in sports nutrition will supply athletes at a variety of Challenge Family races with PowerBar bars, gels and isotonic drinks.
Andreas Petrik, Head of Marketing for Active Nutrition International GmbH, said “PowerBar has been the top provider of high-quality sports nutrition in triathlons for over 30 years. For both Challenge Family and us, it’s all about the athletes. All their knowledge and experience of the sport can help us to develop even better products for the king of endurance sports and we look forward to helping Challenge Family athletes achieve their ultimate finish line moment.
Challenge Family CEO Zibi Szlufcik said “Extending our partnership with PowerBar, the leading expert in sports nutrition, is fantastic news. For our athletes, nutrition is the so-called ‘fourth discipline’ in a triathlon and plays a significant role in their success. Naturally, we want to give them the best there is.
“With a large selection of high-quality products to suit a range of tastes, PowerBar will play a crucial part over the next two years by giving our participants (from over 50 different countries) the best day of their lives at Challenge Family races.”
As part of the extended partnership, Challenge Family athletes will also be given expert advice on nutrition for training and competitions. This will be featured via a dedicated PowerBar section of the Challenge Family website.
All PowerBar products are included on the Cologne List giving athletes safety and reassurance. The Cologne List is one of the leading service platforms that uses strict certification processes to test and list any banned substances found in sports nutrition supplements.
