Eyewear brand, Bollé, is announcing its continued relationship with Equipo Lizarte, one of Spain’s top development cycling teams. The team will wear the glasses during a season that includes the Copa de España, Vuelta a Navarra and Giro della Valle d’Aosta.
Bollé’s long history of involvement with cycling continues this year with its longstanding relationship with Equipo Lizarte. 17 current professional riders such as Marc Soler, Andrey Amador, Richard Carapaz and Óscar Rodríguez have risen through the team’s ranks. In 2019, the team’s riders will be equipped with Bollé products for a fifth straight season.
Putting the new FURO MIPS helmet and SHIFTER sunglasses under the spotlight, Equipo Lizarte recently achieved one of the best performances of its 26 year history in the Guerrita Trophy, a Copa de España event. This saw a win for team rider Kiko Galván, while Equipo Lizarte repeated a collective victory to top the team leader board.
Speaking about the relationship with Bollé, Iñigo Elosegui, Spanish national champion U23 RR said, “I love the Bollé brand. It’s great for a development team like Equipo Lizarte to feel that such a landmark company trusts us to wear and test its products. I like to think I’m using the same brand Miguel Indurain sported back when he was winning grand tours, and the same products Romain Bardet utilizes in every race.
“The Shifter sunglasses are so comfortable and look really cool. As for the Furo Mips helmet, its design is cutting-edge, quite aero, and allows for a perfect fit. The NACA Duct makes a difference, it provides less drag and gives us increased airflow which is very important on hot days. And of course, we can ride knowing that we have the protection that we need.”
