The team at Irish event firm Ride Wild have a promotion that targets travelling UK cyclists. Those who sign up for the Wild Atlantic Etape – a 4 day, 300 mile fully supported tour on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way – can benefit from free bike transportation to and from the UK.
The event team is keen to tap into the significant base of UK cyclists and their tendency to travel beyond UK shores to undertake events. The promotion is being outreached UK cycling clubs and bike shops.
Previously known as the Wild Atlantic Cycle Sportive, 2019 saw the event change its title to the Wild Atlantic Etape. The road bike trip can be run over 4 or 8 days and takes in 300 / 600 miles on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

Both tours run back to back once a month from May to September.
The Wild Atlantic Etape is a fully supported tour – with support vehicles, luggage transfers, tour mechanic with accommodation breakfast and evening dinner included. A typical day starts with a leisurely breakfast from 07:00 GMT. The ride starts at 09:15, with a coffee stop & lunch stop; and the day ends around 16:00, with dinner from 18:30.
The offer to UK cyclists, corporate clubs and charity foundations, for groups of 20+, the team at Ride Wild will collect and return bikes to anywhere in the UK. The bike transporters used are all custom built with each bike individually wall mounted. Only the front wheel is removed and stored in a wheel bag. There is maximum capacity to transport up to 180 bikes.
