The beginning of February is seen as an ideal time for cyclists preparing for this year’s edition of Gran Fondo Gdynia in Poland to compete in the Team Poland League. Riders can prepare for the gran fondo in June by taking on the next virtual Polish Championships on the Zwift platform, held on 24 February.
The second edition of Gran Fondo Gdynia will take place on 1-2 June 2019. Riders have two distances to choose from – 80km and 134km. The routes are run in Kashubia, in north-central Poland, and the start and finish is located at Kosciuszko Square in Gdynia.
“As organizers of Gran Fondo Gdynia, we are happy to undertake a partner cooperation with Team Poland League,” said Michał Drelich, Race Director of the Gran Fondo Gdynia event. “The league organizes races run as part of a series, which ends with an all Polish Championships. The final competition will be held on February 24, so get on your bicycles and compete!”
League races are held every Tuesday. To take part, participants need: a bike trainer utilising ANT+ or Bluetooth technology, a working computer and an account with Zwift. After logging in, riders have the opportunity to join group training, choose routes, races and competitions.
The Gran Fondo Gdynia and Team Poland League partnership is also encouraging a competitive spirit, with prizes on offer. At the next race on February 5 (beginning at 19:30 CET), and at the Polish Championships, the first placed woman and the first man at the finish line will scoop a starter package to participate in Gran Fondo Gdynia this June.
