Images from IRONMAN 70.3 North American Pro Championship St George and IRONMAN 70.3 Virginia

This past weekend, thousands of athletes took part in IRONMAN events in various locations in the United States. On Saturday, May 4, IRONMAN 70.3 North American Pro Championship St George saw over 2,400 athletes representing 35 countries, regions and territories and 46 states take on the early-season race in Southwest Utah.

The St George event offered up scenery from Sand Hollow Reservoir, Snow Canyon and the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. Athletes hit the finish line located on Main Street right in the heart of downtown St. George.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, May 5, the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Virginia made its long-awaited debut in historic Williamsburg and its surrounding area. More than 1,600 athletes representing 11 countries, regions and territories and 44 states took on the new IRONMAN 70.3 event that offered a unique tour of the historic area with challenging terrain and scenery.
