HFP Racing headed by Race Director Shannon Kurek once again put on an American Triple T weekend, on May 31st to June 2nd. This year’s event also hosted the inaugural TOUGHMAN Ohio on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019.
The American Triple T involves three consecutive days of racing, gelling together four races covering a total of more than 70 or 140 miles for the weekend. Also organised by HFP Racing, TOUGHMAN Ohio’s new location at Salt Fork State Park lived up to the name of ‘TOUGHMAN’ given the gain of 4,593 feet of climbing on the bike.
TOUGHMAN notes that the hills at Salt Fork make this race a great challenge for anyone who is looking to be a stronger athlete.
“We look forward to paring this event again with the weekend of racing for American Triple-T,” said TOUGHMAN founder Rich Izzo. “With a great location in Ohio, athletes travelled from the surrounding states to make this race part of their 2019 racing season.”
The event is well located, given that it is only 1.5 hours away from Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cincinnati. Qualifiers at TOUGHMAN Ohio will be racing TOUGHMAN New York on September 15th at Lake Welch, Harriman State Park, for a share of the US$4,950 cash purse and over US$30,000 worth of age group awards.
