Swimming, cycling, running – for kids from the age of five: this is focus of the Kids Cup by Nicola Spirig, the Swiss winner of the 2012 Olympic Women’s Triathlon event. Moving into the 2019 season, the Kids Cup aims to make triathlon fun for children at nine locations.
The start of the Kids Cup by Nicola Spirig season 2019 gets under way on 26 May in Vevey, Vaud, a Swiss town on Lake Geneva.
Organizer Reto Hug said “Making a date for this year has been difficult for a number of reasons. Therefore, we are very happy that we have found an agreement and a suitable weekend with all the organizers of last year.”
Overall, the Kids Cup by Nicola Spirig stops in nine locations in nine different cantons across Switzerland. For the first time, Sursee, Lucerne, is also present.

Event initiator Nicola Spirig said “We like to encourage kids’ fun in triathlon. The Kids Cup by Nicola Spirig is very well suited to this because times are not stopped here. Everyone is a winner with us and makes the journey home with lasting memories and some giveaways.”
