Limelight Sports has announced that the London Triathlon is now included in Triathlon England’s London Senior League. The London Triathlon organising team add that athletes in the region can now get involved with one of the world’s biggest triathlons. Racing is on closed-roads through Central London, and athletes can win points for themselves and their club.
Events are selected from the region to comprise the London League, allowing clubs across London to support each other’s events, compete against each other and generate an environment for improving performance, encouraging participation and having fun.
The London Senior League qualifying events will be the London Triathlon Olympic distance races on both Saturday and Sunday. Those who sign up to the Olympic distance on Saturday 27th July will have the option to compete in a London Senior League specific wave and race head to head with other London Club members.
Limelight Sports, ‘the agency of the Active World’, is taking over the running of three major mass participation events – the London Triathlon, Blenheim Palace Triathlon and Etape Caledonia sportive from 2019. The events are being licensed by owner IMG, the leading sports, events, fashion and media company.
