TRIBE has launched its second crowdfunding campaign via Crowdcube. Since originally raising £1.75m in 2017, through a collaboration with Crowdcube, the natural sports nutrition brand is now aiming to raise £1.25m.
The new funding round is to ‘drive international growth, develop market-leading products and inspiring events, and inspire its community to continue a fight against human trafficking.’
Tom Stancliffe, Co-Founder of TRIBE said, “Our goal is to become the biggest sports nutrition brand in Europe by 2025. At the same time, the TRIBE community can also be a powerful force for good; leading the way on compostable packaging and vegan ingredients and continuing the fight against modern slavery that started with Run for Love.”
He contimued, “The world is becoming healthier, more sustainable and more conscious of its social impact. TRIBE is at the forefront of this revolution; developing market-leading natural and vegan performance products and 100% compostable packaging for the UK market.
“Our mission is to continue the TRIBE journey that began with a 1,000-mile run to fight human trafficking in 2013 and to end modern slavery. Our registered charity, the TRIBE Freedom Foundation, is on track to raise almost £500,000 to fight human trafficking in 2019.”
In its latest Crowdcube campaign TRIBE is summarised as making… ‘natural performance nutrition products for everyday athletes. A digitally native business with >70k online customers, now scaling rapidly in retail with over 4,600 distribution points secured, most recently including Sainsburys & WHSmith. Now returning to Crowdcube to turbocharge growth.’
