Science in Sport (SiS) has announced the launch of PhD Nutrition’s new website, www.phd.com.
PhD, a premium protein brand, was acquired by Science in Sport in December 2018, doubling the size of the business. The launch of the new website is part of a strategic plan to drive PhD’s online growth through ‘significantly improving the performance, customer engagement and sales conversion rates of its website.’
The new website, which includes product information, training blogs and other resources, is based on the Magento 2 e-commerce platform also used by the SiS brand’s website, www.scienceinsport.com. The PhD site has been designed to replicate the performance characteristics of the SiS site, which has ‘impressive customer conversion’.
Strengthening PhD’s digital capabilities forms part of the SiS group’s wider integration and optimisation plan for PhD. Other key priorities for 2019 include the integration of PhD powder packaging into the group’s manufacturing site in Nelson, Lancashire.
In addition to online sales via its own website, PhD products are sold through multiple retail channels, both traditional and online, in more than 45 countries worldwide.
