The organisers of OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO in Cyprus have launched their race weekend package for next year’s event, which takes place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March 2020.
In previous years, the OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO #RunLimassolPlus race weekend package has been popular with overseas athletes wanting to visit Cyprus for a weekend of running. Offering a range of accommodation options, discounted race entry and useful added extras, the package seeks to ‘offer a great value and hassle-free way to enjoy a long weekend away’.
The #RunLimassolPlus package includes a 40% discount on race entry, OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO technical t-shirt, ‘the best accommodation rates for race weekend’, free pass for public buses over race weekend, pasta party pass, early race day breakfast and transfer to the start line on Sunday 22nd March.
A large number of British runners took advantage of the #RunLimassolPlus package in 2019 – enabling them to focus on their race and social experience rather than the logistics of race weekend. With a choice of accommodation options across a range of budgets, from 3-star hotels through to luxury 5-star hotels, runners can create the package that best suits them.
Entry to the pasta party on the Saturday evening is also a chance to fuel ahead of the four competitive races on Sunday, meet like-minded runners and soak up the laid-back and welcoming atmosphere for which Limassol is known.
OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO welcomes a total of 15,000 runners across six races each spring. The event is known for its flat and fast course, views of the sparkling Mediterranean, spring weather, friendly atmosphere and hospitality.
OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO MD Andreas Spyrou said “We are delighted to launch our #RunLimassolPlus race weekend package for OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO 2020. This package has always proved extremely popular with overseas visitors wanting to enjoy all that Limassol has to offer in the most economical and relaxed way.
“We carefully select the best accommodation options and take care of all the little things, so that guests can focus on being race ready and enjoy the very best weekend experience. Our packages have been designed to suit different people, budgets and communities and we can’t wait to welcome new and returning runners to Limassol next March.”
