ROTOR confirms 2019 team sponsorships

Accessories specialist ROTOR has confirmed its team sponsorships across a full range of cycling disciplines for 2019. This season the company is building on existing development partnerships and has also strengthened its product test process with new elite teams.

Road
In road, ROTOR has returned to having two UCI WorldTour Teams in its roster. It is continuing its partnership with Dimension Data and embarking on a new collaboration with AG2R La Mondiale. The company adds that ‘both teams want to benefit from the data 2INpower Road provides the coaching team & riders for training & race targeting during the season.’

Dimension Data will be aiming to improve on Ben King’s two stage victories in last year’s Vuelta; and a number of talents in the team, such as Louis Meintjes and Ben O’Connor, are choosing ROTOR Q RINGS.

French team AG2R La Mondiale will be targeting the spring classics. Grand tour specialist Romain Bardet will also be hoping to shine during the Tour de France and increase his podium tally following a strong 2018 season.

In the elite women’s category ROTOR continue swith Bigla Pro Cycling where all athletes ride with Q RINGS & 2INpower Road. Current Danish TT champion Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig will be targeting podium finishes and strong GC placements in the grand tours while young sprinter Maria Vittoria Sperotto will be looking to continue momentum following high profile top ten finishes in last year’s UCI Women’s World Tour.

WNT-ROTOR has also seen a wide adoption of Q RINGS amongst the team, and ROTOR is working again with current Tour of Yorkshire champion Kirsten Wild along with new signings Lisa Brennauer, Ane Santesteban and Erica Magnaldi

ROTOR also have a strong presence with another four professional road teams, Cycling Team Wallonië-Bruxelles (Belgium), Team Vorarlberg Santic (Austria), Efapel Cycling Team (Portugal) and Kometa Cycling Team (Spain).

The company also continues to support development teams with Alberto Contador Foundation and Victor Sastre Foundation working with young riders using Q RINGS and receiving feedback from emerging talents.

MTB
In MTB at the UCI elite level, ROTOR has renewed its relationships with Primaflor-Mondraker-ROTOR, Specialized Factory Racing & CST Sandd American Eagle. Over 85% of its riders in MTB are using Q RINGS and alternating between 2INpower and KAPIC for training and competition.

Primaflor-Mondraker-ROTOR will look to build on a strong 2018 season with renewed contracts for Australian couple Bec and Dan McConnell and new signings in Pablo Rodríguez (Spain), Githa Michiels (Belgium) and Anton Sintsov (Russia)

Specialized will return to the Cape Epic with high expectations following last year’s success. Both Sam Gaze and Annika Langvad will also be targeting World Cup podium finishes with an eye towards Olympic medals in Tokyo 2020.

CST Sandd American Eagle has renewed with riders Sebastian Fini, Grant Ferguson, Yana Belomonia and Anne Tauber, and will be hoping to build on the solid results of the team in 2019.

ROTOR has also introduced new partnerships with BH-Templo Cafés and Absolute Absalon. The company, meanwhile, continues its relationship with Brujula Bike and maintains a presence in the Enduro World Series with Orbea Enduro Team.

CX
In cyclo-cross, both Marlux-Bingoal and Delikia-Ginestar have achieved a number of podiums already this season. ROTOR adds that it hopes to see more excellent results in the two remaining races of the CX World Cup series.
