GORE Wear has announced the launch of its new GORE R7 GTX SHAKEDRY Trail Hooded Jacket. Available in both male and female cuts, the garment employs SHAKEDRY product technology to be ‘totally waterproof, extremely breathable, lightweight and ultra-packable’.
The GORE R7 GTX SHAKEDRY Trail Hooded Jacket is purpose-built for the requirements of trail running. GORE Wear notes that ‘Runners need no longer worry about wearing a light backpack over the top of their jacket or causing tears by brushing past branches and shrubbery… Also new is a seamless shoulder construction and central torso area to create maximum comfort when worn with a light backpack.’
In line with all of GORE’s SHAKEDRY garments, the jacket is waterproof, breathable, lightweight and ultra-packable – stowing away into the front chest pocket. Available in two colourways; Pacific Blue and Black Lava Grey, the GORE R7 GTX SHAKEDRY Trail Hooded Jacket includes stretchable inserts at the cuffs to allow use of a GPS watch. There is a full length zipper with tags for easy opening and reflective details on all sides for 360 degree visibility.
Commenting on the new jacket, undefeated OCR World Champion and current Ultra Skyrunning World Champion, Jonathan Albon said “The GORE R7 SHAKEDRY Trail Hooded Jacket really is the perfect accomplice for any adventure run. Now abrasion and tear resistant, this has to be one of the most functional jackets out there. Being waterproof, lightweight, breathable, packable and visible – it’s become my go-to jacket for any kind of outdoor adventure.”
Both the GORE R7 GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY Trail Hooded Jacket and GORE R7 Women GORE-TEX SHAKEDRY Trail Hooded Jacket retail at £259.99.
