Trimtex signs deal with pro triathlete Maurice Clavel

Scandinavian apparel brand Trimtex, a specialist in custom gear for endurance sports, has strengthened its efforts to expand into the German speaking market following a new partnership with professional triathlete Maurice Clavel.

Maurice Clavel has built up his long-distance racing career patiently and steadily – ‘moving through the distances to give his body the perseverance to sustain all the obstacles as a full-time triathlete’. Leaving his former team, the BMC-Vifit Pro Triathlon Team, he has started from scratch, building up his race experience in order to fulfil his dream of winning the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

Clavel will utilise Trimtex apparel via fully customized and tailored trisuits for race day. Trimtex adds that it is… ‘eager to learn, adapt and challenge the existing so that its athletes and teams have the best possible equipment for the unhuman conditions when it counts – Tokyo 2020 and Kona.’

Maurice Clavel will also assist the Trimtex product development team on the hunt of marginal gains and trying to further invent new solutions.

 

 

“I tested several race suits and Trimtex proved to be the fastest one for me,” said Maurice Clavel. “The suit also fits perfectly in all three disciplines: in the water under the wetsuit, during the bike and on the run, which is really great for me. I also admire having a custom-made suit perfectly fitting my body’s dimensions. I also look forward to working with the product development team on developing their product further to make me even faster.”

Trimtex notes that it started small. Out of garage in Lillesand, Harald Augland began to create customized sportswear to perform better as an orienteer. 40 years later, and evolving from its orienteering roots Trimtex has become a specialist sportswear supplier.
