Giro d’Italia Under 23 is a ‘demanding and prestigious stage race dedicated to young cyclists’ and is scheduled from 4 to 14 June 2020. The jerseys of the 2020 edition will be designed by Alé and will feature Alé’s ‘unmistakable and innovative design’.
The Giro d’Italia Under 23 unveiled its route: the 10-stage race will start from Urbino – an occasion to celebrate the 500th year since the death of the great Renaissance painter Raffaello Sanzio – and will end in Aprica, at the end of a ‘suggestive’ stage called ‘Double the Mortirolo.’
Five regions of Italy will be crossed, with a route almost 1,300km long that will ‘test the young cyclists’ skills.’
Stage 5, on 9 June 2020, the one that starts from Bonferraro di Sorgà is of special importance for Alé as it will start right from the square in front of the company’s factory.
‘It will be a festive occasion and also a way to share a moment of great cycling with all those who work for Alé and with all the fans.’
In support of the partnership with the Giro d’Italia under 23, Alé has developed a series of initiatives for ‘both the Under 23 cyclists and to the world of amateurs.’ With company vans and tents, Alé will be at every stage to offer its fans the opportunity to see the brand’s clothing collections up close.
Alessia Piccolo, CEO of A.P.G. S.r.l commented “The Giro Under 23 has been able to grow over time with constancy and determination and today is a splendid event, to which we are proud to contribute as a partner for the jerseys. Last year I was present at each stage to support these wonderful athletes, who represent the future of our cycling. In this edition I will do the same and in the 5th stage I will welcome them with pride inside our company: it will be a real moment of celebration.”
Marco Selleri, General Manager of the Giro d’Italia Giovani Under 23, and Marco Pavarini, organizational director said in a statement, “For us it is of top importance to count on companies like Alé at our side, because in addition to being a sporting stage race of international level dedicated to young cyclists, the Giro d’Italia Under 23 also aims to bring innovation, professionalism and safety to the world of cycling.
“This is also why Alé is an ideal partner for us. The Giro Under 23 is a great event, a traveling show that involves athletes and spectators, institutions and territories: an extraordinary promotional tool, which allows any partner to raise the level of communication to a global context.”
