Challenge Family announces that ‘Athletes who like a real challenge can enjoy a really nice concept this summer’: Challenge St. Pölten, Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee and Challenge Davos join forces with a so-called ‘Challenge the Alps’. Athletes who compete in all three races and master the many altitude meters, not only will get a nice discount during signing up, but also will be rewarded with a very special medal afterwards. Only 50 athletes will have the possibility to face this unique challenge.
The ‘climbing journey’ will start with Challenge St. Pölten on May 24th. The race is based in lower Austria, featuring a ‘dreamlike backdrop’ with its two-lakes swim, ‘spectacular bike course and incredible scenic views’. Next stop is Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee on June 28th. Athletes will swim in the ‘crystal clear’ waters and during the bike and run they will love the ‘spectacular views’ of the mountain range of the famous Wilder Kaiser. Final Destination of Challenge the Alps will be Challenge Davos on Augustus 29th. The swim course with its ‘pristine waters will impress for sure, while the incredible bike course up the closed to traffic Flüelapass will be unforgettable as well’. The run course will lead athletes through the amazing Mattawald and offers ‘breath-taking’ views on Davos and surrounding mountains.
Jürgen Gleiss, race director at Challenge St. Pölten, is very pleased with this unique concept: ”All three races will take place in beautiful locations with their own charm. The combination of those three races means a huge discount for the athletes and participation in three very attractive races.”
Daniela Ruholl, race director at Challenge Davos, said “Participating in this Challenge will offer athletes an incredible triathlon season with unique nature experiences.”
Ilona Klingler, race director at Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee, is really looking forward to Challenge the Alps: “This offers pure scenic enjoyment, challenging, spectacular routes and a family atmosphere. We look forward to exciting races according to the motto: #trithealps.”
Registrations for Challenge the Alps are open. Only one registration is required to be part of all three races and in addition save 100 Euro compared to individual registration at these events. Registration for the Challenge Alps is possible until April 30 2020.
