New Zealand’s top triathlete and multi-sport athlete Braden Currie came from behind to win, for the second year in a row, the 2020 Integrity Homes Challenge Wanaka in New Zealand, and with it become the Challenge Asia Pacific Champion 2020.
Radka Kahlefeldt scooped her second Challenge Asia Pacific Championship win (having won previously in 2018). The battle for second and third was highly fought between local athlete Hannah Wells and American powerhouse Meredith Kessler.
As well as the strong international professional field of triathletes there were a thousand age group athletes for the Integrity Homes Challenge Wanaka incorporating the Challenge Asia Pacific Championships and the Garth Barfoot Aqua Bike. The cooler weather and calm day allowed some PBs to be broken under blue skies in Wanaka.
