Hosted by five-time off-road triathlon world champion Lesley Paterson and her husband Dr Simon Marshall, the new XTERRA Podcast explores the stories and science behind the quest to ‘Live More’.
XTERRA Global, owner and producer of the XTERRA World Tour, confirms that the XTERRA Podcast features guests who live, work, and play off the beaten path. It will share first-person accounts of outdoor adventures, and provide tips from industry leaders in the physical and mental health industries.
“This is not a podcast about off-road triathlon or even triathlon,” explained podcast host Lesley Paterson. “We talk everything from training your body and mind for outdoor shenanigans, to gear, expeditions, travel and culture.”
The first episode is now available, and is titled ‘How to get more Challenge and Discovery into your Life – lessons from a bona fide badass’. It features Ray Zahab, a pack-a-day smoker who transformed himself into one of the planet’s most accomplished explorers. Ray is a Canadian Adventurer, ultra-distance runner and founder of the non-profit impossible2Possible.
In 2015, Canadian Geographic recognized Ray as one of Canada’s Top Explorers. He has run 14,000+km across the world’s deserts and completed multiple unsupported expeditions in some of the coldest places on the planet. The podcast helps to discover how he learned to fully apply himself in the present moment and the successes that ensued.
The XTERRA Podcast can be found on major platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher, and iHeartRadio. It will also be posted on the XTERRA website via an embedded player.
