dryrobe, the producer of ‘the world’s most advanced change robe’, has announced Sophie Hellyer as a new brand ambassador. With deep-rooted passions spanning the watersports sector, as a keen surfer and outdoor swimmer, Sophie will also work in unison with dryrobe as the company takes steps to further improve its sustainable footprint.
After a decade on the professional surf circuit where Sophie was the beneficiary of numerous global sponsorship opportunities having won a national junior title aged just 15, the North Devon bred athlete has since forged her own path. Her current focus lies on fostering a diverse and inclusive surfing culture, as a prominent voice on the topics of ocean pollution and sustainability.
She created the #RiseFierce movement to inspire women to try cold-water swimming, promoting body-neutrality and improved mental / physical health. Since its inception, the movement has now become a community of women across the world supporting and motivating each other to embrace the cold and take the plunge together, something which dryrobe will look to help drive into the future.
Speaking on the new partnership with dryrobe, Sophie Hellyer explained “I began cold water swimming regularly a few years ago, and I’ve used my dryrobe religiously since. It’s an absolute lifesaver, especially in the cold! Sustainability has become such a hot topic nowadays and I know dryrobe are huge advocates of looking after our planet. I’m excited to see how we can work together to be more environmentally friendly. The future of the dryrobe is looking green.”
Gideon Bright, Founder and Director of dryrobe added “We’re all really excited to be working with Sophie. Not only does she share our passion for the ocean, but Sophie is keen to help us on our journey to make our products and processes more sustainable. The campaigning and community building that Sophie does is truly inspiring and we’re proud to have her on our team.”
